Affiliate Disclosure & Editorial Independence
Siscaller is funded by subscriptions and occasional affiliate partnerships. Our engineering evaluations, benchmarks, and vulnerability critiques are strictly independent.
1. The Editorial Independence Invariant
We adhere to a non-negotiable rule: No commercial relationship will ever dictate an architectural opinion, benchmark verdict, or security rating.
- We never accept payment to write positive reviews or conceal technical flaws in software systems.
- Products and developer tools featured in architectural deep dives are chosen based on engineering merit, innovation, and relevance to senior practitioners.
- Editorial decisions are insulated from sponsorship or monetization agreements.
2. How Siscaller Uses Affiliate Links
Some outbound links pointing to developer tools, hardware security tokens, cloud platforms, or technical books may be affiliate links.
When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, Siscaller may receive a modest referral commission at no additional cost to you.
3. Technical Guardrails & Redirect Security
To prevent open-redirect vulnerabilities, link cloaking abuses, and SEO manipulation, Siscaller enforces automated technical guardrails:
- Allowlisted Hostnames Only: All internal affiliate redirects routed through
/go/[slug]are verified against a strict, tamper-proof environment allowlist. Unregistered target domains are rejected by the database. - Standard Link Attributes: All outbound sponsored or affiliate links automatically carry
rel="sponsored nofollow noopener"attributes to comply with search engine guidelines. - In-Article Disclosures: Every article containing affiliate links includes a visual disclosure badge immediately beneath the article header.
4. Questions Regarding Disclosures
If you have questions about any commercial disclosure or affiliate link on our platform, please contact our editorial desk:
